Robin.....YES it is, writing his freaking face off!

Shaz! Glad you liked it!

An ode to Chris Farley......and to all motivational speakers around the world.

don't know whether you have seen the video/skit or not. It's from Saturday Night Live......if you went on You Tube and typed in Chris Farley doing Matt Foley, you will find the skit. It is truly hilarious.

Tara.......the kids were quite into it. They've seen the video clip I'm referring to. So, when we decided to send my husband/their Dad a chuckle, I said to them......

"OK guys, look pathetic...." Even Lily looks a bit lost!!

OMG I just read your comment on my blog thats funny as. You so made me smile.
But I was thinking if you had them pierced and was lying on your back then you could of put some fishing line between the rings to hold them perky again. Before (perky), then let go of the line(droopy), after, pull it tight, before, let it go, the after shot. LMAO
That story was perfect for me today thankyou sweetness. I had my injection just now. (with a smile on my face) xxx

That is hilarious! I love Chris Farley and those sketches were too funny. What a talent...what a loss.

Hey Shaz! Glad my story made the injection a little easier! As for the fishing line, believe it or not, when I read your first piercing story, I was thinking the same thing....possibly wrap the fishing line around my ears or something. I think our brains have the same warp in them! How bizarre!

Anna......Chris Farley was a genius entertainer....I'll never forget the first time I saw him on SNL...he left me in tears of laughter.

ps I just spoke to my husband who saw the post this morning and loved it.

Awww... what a cute and amusing pic. Say... your son sort of resembles you from the pics of you when you went to Greece in the '80s!

That's a golden retriever, right? Short-haired? You just give him a buzz cut or what? Reminds me of the late Sammy, the golden from Saint John and of Tim Horton's commercial fame. I actually saw Sammy when going uptown, all by herself, trotting home with the bag of Tim's coffee and the doggie-special Timbit in her mouth! Much cuter than the strange leftwing anarchists walking around with their pitbulls, don't you think?

And I see you drive a Chrysler minivan. Good, reliable choice, wait'll you see the brand-new ones... they come with swivelling captain's chairs and a table, so when you go to Mickey D's, you don't have to go inside to eat... just swivel and pop up the table and you're all set!

The kids shouldn't complain... a minivan's a lot more comfortable to travel in than a car, particularly a compact one with limited legroom! They have their own heat-vent controls, too! And can watch movies back there... but I understand that when you're younger you wanna run around for no reason at all, like my brother's kids, who're constantly bouncing all over like kangaroos and all... LOL

Hey Sentinel guy.....glad you liked the pic. they listened to their momma when I asked them to look pathetic. I have a pic of the back of my son and my husband standing beside one another. Their "build" is so similar....as is their lopey walk. I don't know whether he looks like me or not. My daughter looks more like me, but is blonde.

My doggie? Her dad was a golden retriever and her mom was a yellow lab. She hasn't had a cut. :) She does look like Sammy, I had never thought of that. She's a big chicken....afraid of the dark even. She never goes too far (don't have to put her on a leash) from us when we are out walking. In fact, she'll rarely leave the front yard if she's outside by herself. So, though Tim's is just down the hill from my house, I don't think she'd risk going to get me a double double. :)

The van? It's a Sienna. We had a Chrysler before this one. It was a piece of shit. We ended up spending thousands on it for various broken parts....and had a memorable "breakdown"....us and the van in Quebec City about 5 years ago when the transmission tanked on our way to Ontario for my grandmother's 90th birthday. We ended up having to leave it behind, rent a small car (all that was left and it was Friday afternoon) and carry on.....with our other dog (big chocolate lab) and two kids stuffed in the back seat....After it was all tallied up.....we had spent close to 4 grand!!! After that nightmare, we leased the Sienna. I never want to own another north american car again. They are shit.

Personally, I would rather have a little sports car, but it's not realistic...... :)

Oh, my... I erred in thinking it was a chryco mommymobile... some car guy I am, eh?

I used to feel the same way about American cars, but that was when I had the old Dodges which fell apart and became deathtraps. Once I lost all braking power at the precise moment in an intersection when I slammed 'em on to avoid some asshole who was floorin' it thru a red light! Brake fluid just blew completely out and there was no pressure, no brakes! No problem, though... I cornered just fine, kept going till I found the perfect route, going up an inclined church driveway and rolling to a stop beyond the edge of the parking lot. Even got pictures of where it ended up! cost $750 to fix the whole thing... don't go to Canadian Tire-they're too slow, take too long to add up the labor costs!

But now that I have an '06 Chevy Cobalt since last June, I haven't experienced one single problem, not the slightest glitch. Had it checked thoroughly and the whole thing passed all checks. Performance and everything is quite satisfying. Let me tell ya, the General is actually getting its act together. The unprecedented quality, performance and reliability of the Cobalt alone, an inexpensive car, has me blown away. Never did I expect such refinement- sound insulation all over, gas struts for the trunklid AND the hood, which rises and shuts by itself, smoothly damped, with only a little coaxing, and on and on... and then there's the transmission... it's simply excellent! Three drive modes, two with lower gearing and engine braking, which allow faster, higher revving and greater accelleration while still being fully automatic. And you never check the fluid- it's a non-leak/non-burn tranny. I could go on about the high-tech nature of this awesome little econocoupe, but would probably bore ya! It's plainly light-years beyond what we're used to in American cars.

Compare this to Toyota lately. Toyota quality and reliability is actually observed as declining! Why? 'Cause they want to churn out as many vehicles as fast as they can to become "number one" in sales. A big mistake for Toyota. Hope they don't keep messing up.

Ah... gotta go now! Stuff becons me to come do it!
