feet back on higher ground......

Morning light, God's blue-kissed light on spring,
march 2007

Whenever God shines his light on me
Opens up my eyes so I can see
When I look up in the darkest night
I know everything's going to be alright
In deep confusion, in great despair
When I reach out for him he is there
When I am lonely as I can be
I know that God shines his light on me

Reach out for him, he'll be there
With him your troubles you can share
If you live the life you love
You get the blessing from above
He heals the sick and heals the lame
Says you can do it too in Jesus name

He'll lift you up and turn you around
And put your feet back on higher ground

Reach out for him, he'll be there
With him your troubles you can share
You can use his higher power
In every day and any hour
He heals the sick and heals the lame
Says you can do it too in Jesus name

He'll lift you up and turn you around
And put your feet back on higher ground.

Van Morrison.

Sun setting light,
God's glow kissing the pussywillows,

Hi Anna. I LOVE this song and I LOVE cranking it up real loud when I'm in the van, especially on a sunny day like today and singing along with all my heart. I agree....the lyrics are wonderful. I find them quite affirming.

ricercar.......thank you. Van Morrison is a genius.

Deborah.....thank you. I showed my son the pussywillow pic....he was the one who pointed out the "glow" on the one particular pussy willow and was smitten with the pic. the words simply followed.... :)

pussywillow - I'm missing this from our garden - we had so much in my parents garden when I was growing up, not sure where it has gone to - always makes me smile...
'Van the man' is popular in this house too :)
