What is it that makes this sunset so spectacular?

Maybe it is the equally spectacular sunrise that will undoubtedly follow soon.

Even though the colours of sunrise differ from sunset, they do hold the promise of renewal - of a bright new day!

...and one thing I know is that, not long after the dramatic, awe-inspiring sunset of Good Friday, will come the vital awakening of Easter.

May our lord fill you (and your family and friends) with his everlasting love and continue to bless you, Dana - as he does so many of us through you.

Daisy.....thank you so much. I'm all veklempt. :) Happy Easter to you and your family. May the vital awakening always be toasted with the best wine....

Shaz.......me too! Happy Easter. Hope you're feeling well enough to enjoy the special weekend.

Katie.....loved your sunset too. Happy Easter. Hope the Easter bunny finds you and serves you up a bouquet of flowers, a yummy chocolate egg....and perhaps some Sinatra music to dance to late in the evening :) May you be seranaded..... ;)

Anna.....thank you. I was quite taken aback when I looked over and saw it. Believe it or not, we were just at the local gas station parking lot. We motored up to the house and back in a split second so that I could take the picture and that we could enjoy it. The view behind us was of 18 wheeler trucks and gas pumps.....and in front of us??? The colours of God. An interesting contrast. :) Happy Easter Anna. Hope everyone is over the flu and will be able to enjoy the day.

Deb.....it surely did. The day was overcast and yucky......big heaps of snow had fallen on Thursday, which made everything sombre. I find Good Friday so sombre anyways. To witness a sunset after such a day was a gift. It truly felt that way...... Happy Easter.

Tori, Ellen and Robert.

Happy Easter to you all. It has been a busy weekend shared with good friends who are our Maritime family. The spring like weather has disappeared and it felt more like the Christmas season.

take care.
