a bouquet of beauty

Flowers are the eternal seductiveness of life. May they forever lure us into their scented beauty and awaken our own possibilities. From my garden to you.

You really know how to capture a flower's essence! They are all gorgeous, but the lily of the valley is always my favorite.

Came across this, not bad me thinks...

A flower's fragrance declares to all the world that it is fertile,
available, and desirable, its sex organs oozing with nectar.
Its smell reminds us in vestigial ways of fertility, vigor, life-force,
all the optimism, expectancy, and passionate bloom of youth.
We inhale its ardent aroma and, no matter what our ages,
we feel young and nubile in a world aflame with desire.

Judy...thank you. flowers are what i love to photograph the most. Someone once said that they are the most beautiful gift in our world without a soul. I disagree with that completely. To me, they have such an alluring feel to them.....there is a connection between us humans and the garden that I believe they take personfication to another level.
Lily of the Valley are most definately in my top 5. I have some nestled in a bouquet right by my side as I type.

paul....like music, flowers express life in a way words can't. I found this quote yesterday when I was posted these pictures and was keeping it for another display.......expressed by Colette.... "How can one help shivering with delight when one's hot fingers close around the stem of a live flower, cool from the shade and stiff with newborn vigor!"
Here's to the life force of a blossoming flower.

Marja....thank you.......will give the flowers all the credit. I just happened to show up with a camera. :)

I especially love that first pic. Maybe one day if you come across a tulip you could take a pic just for me. I love them.
