darkness to light.

Bringing our secrets into the light.

Harbouring secrets only do harm to our spirit.

Safe harbour sharing

To rid shame and guilt

To enlighten and lighten

Bringing our secrets into the light

Chases away negative self-talk

Allows the people whom we love to know us deeper.

Helps us discover that we are not alone.

That no matter what.........

We are loved and accepted unconditionally.

always need to hear that last line....for so many actions toward others and to ourselves cry the opposite...

I needed to read those words too. When I stumbled across the moving photo, they tumbled out of me.

Sharing a secret is to journey to a vulnerable place. sharing a secret in a safe harbour makes one feel significantly accepted. Sharing a secret allows us to accept the realness of it.

Always a huge risk.......because even safe harbours make not be as safe as one thinks. But it is always worth the risk in the long run I think because of the potential of strengthening the relationship.

Sharing a secret means that one is ready to have it reflect back a new image of oneself.

We often stall and stammer as we ask ourselves......Will the secret be received? How will it change my relationship with a person who means a lot to me?

My God we are complicated beings arent we? Thank God we are. It makes life so much more rich and unpredictable.

Excellent words. Now if only we can accept them as a credo for the Church.

hi katie......yes, I'm particularly fond of that last line too. As Paul pointed out, we often we hear the cries of the opposite.

Hi Dustin.....we can dream and then demand it! :)
