"Country" critter looking for "townies"

Perhaps this is the new leader of the Progressive Conservative Party in New Brunswick checking out the joint? I have a feeling the Tories would win a couple of seats with his cute little face on the posters. Run Bambi, Run!

Watching this video, you'd think Fredericton was in the middle of the woods! This is the actual security footage of the four legged intruder who took the wrong turn and ended up in the media room at the Legislature yesterday!! Let's hope he made it back home safe and sound.....

Confused is right! However, I have seen deer walking not far from this building through a friend's backyard before. I wonder if anyone spotted him walking towards the building....it IS a main street going right through the city.

Yeah, I couldn't resist posting it.

And.......according to the update news today, he wasn't hurt during his hasty exit. :)

Also, it was explained that this little guy was a yearling and often because it is the time of year when fawns are being born, the "moms" kick the yearlings out so they don't disrupt the birthing. This may be why he lost his way...... nasty mommas!!

I am thinking that Bambi was probably the only honest soul in the Legislature that day.

Entertaining to watch but poor wee deer. Hope it was okay.

regina......next time you're driving through, let me know and I'll give you a behind the scenes tour of my beautiful city :)

myrtle.....you are too right!! I think he also put the silliness that goes on within those hallowed halls in perspective

crafty....thankfully, the deer was seen heading back to safety, without any permanent harm done.

That is what being trapped in the city does to the natural spirit inside all of us. This deer simply had the good sense to act to save its nature -- and get the heck out of there! ;)
