human hearts

We humans continue to grapple at understanding the world around us by trying to fit it into an ideology. We have such a propensity to know how to conceptualize, compartmentalize and intellectualize reality....to create a subtance solid enough to hold onto. Life isn't like that. Its meaning stretches beyond what we can fathom with our ticking brains. As soon as you think you've got it all figured out, it changes shape. It turns a different colour. It runs far enough away that its beyond our grasp, leaving us staggering in doubt.

Life rarely makes sense when we only use our minds to decipher it. However, if we let our hearts lead the exploration, we are much more apt to feel confident in exploring the wildness of being human.

This week's photography theme is "human." For more photos and interpretations of the theme, check out Carmi at Written Inc.

Have you read my blog? the last post are about perception, here comes a part:
This innocently brought subject requires a lot of thought to say something coherent about it. I love this subject is fascinating,it makes me think that everything is an invention, which makes me feel less constrained by reality.

Our world is given not more than by the totality of the words, images and other representations that we must to mean it.

One looks to understand and represent the universe in the simplest way possible. This implies that all existence in our universe, is delimited including what we are. It does not allow the idea of the existence of things that do not have meaning assigned to them.

Mariana....Anthony de Mello, author of the book Awareness wrote that if we are looking for true meaning in our life, we have to beyond how we construct meaning....a true leap of faith.

Few things make sense to me until I've run them through my gut filter. Modern society seems to have beaten the spirit out of people - we need to grab it back.

Fortunately I get to read thoughtfulness like yours and I'm hopeful that this will indeed happen.

You are so very correct. We must use our minds and our hearts and re-learn to live from spirit rather than ego. Great post!

Carmi...I think you need a trip to the Maritimes. The spirit lives.

Mark....that spirit thrives within the space of two hearts. :)
