Morning Grace

Morning has broken
Like the first morning
Grateful are we for
All that we have
Praise with elation
Praise every morning
God's recreation
Of the new day.
These were taken this morning from my back deck. Enjoy the new day.

mercy, yes! sometimes the recognition that every morning brings a dawn of forgiveness allows you to let go of the worries and frustrations of yesterday in order to start again. dawn shedding light.....

this morning my mantra was....today is a new day, fresh with no mistakes. One day, I may be able to live up to a full day with no mistakes, but i somehow doubt it.....
and maybe that's a good thing....perfection isn't a virtue. it's bloody moronic.

I think the other message i need to remind myself is that every single day has a wealth of emotional upheavals and downheavals (is there such a word?) That's life....as we forge along.

OK, and the other message I need to remind myself is that it's best to have a song in your head to accompany you on the journey. This morning it was Souvenirs. The melody stayed with me all morning long. It allowed me to feel connected to a good friend who I know likes the song too.

glad you enjoyed the pics....

Your back deck? Wow!! I have sunrise envy now. That simply is incredible. I keep coming back to your blog just to scroll down through those photos slowly and I keep having the same reaction which is "WOW"
Wonderful...

Tim.....it was a mind blower morning....took the first shot and then returned about 1/2 later to find the sun emerging. i stood there and watching it literally rise up from behind the landscape on the other side of the Saint John River.
methinks you would have sunset envy too because we have a view of them as well.....tonights was so pretty, but our view is blocked somewhat because of the foliage.

my house (a small bungalow....nothing grand at all) sits up on a hill not far from the river...the deck is 15 feet off the ground and sits off the livingroom.....all windows on the deck side. So, because I'm up high, I have a pretty good unobstructed view of the river and sunrises.....much more open in the fall and winter when the leaves have gone.
we fell in love with this house the moment we walked in for an impromptu tour......we weren't even thinking about moving at the time, but when I saw the view and the light in the house, we were completely sold.

A beautiful sight for the morning, but always worrying, having grown up in the UK: red sky at night, shepherds' delight: red sky in the morning, shepherds' warning....

But still lovely.
