"The life I touch for good or ill will touch another life and that in turn another until who knows where the trembling stops or in what far place my touch will be felt..."
Frederick Buechner.
Sometimes you don't know just how much of an impact your touch has on someone.... It's never the sweeping big gestures either, though I must admit if some stranger came knocking at my door with a wheelbarrow full of money and a new car in the driveway for me, I'd be totally touched. I may even give the stranger a big hug and embarass him/her with my yelps and yeehaws. Who said that money is root of all evil?
OK.......let me restart....
One small kind gesture can make you feel beyond rich. And then if you pass it on? Well........think of the possibilities. We all have the magic touch to offer someone an enriched heart. You can't put a value on smiling validation. It's priceless.

so true...our words and our actions all have an effect on others...and it's not always the big things either...
Wishing you a beautiful day Dana, x
thanks katie. it's going to be a blustery windy day today....maybe i'll get swept off my feet. now that would be an adventure wouldn't it?
it sounds like it would be the most excellent adventure...:)
windy and blustery here too - am off to spend a couple of hours engrossed in the jungle book with Sam - her school play!
AMEN!!
Very true. Hope flowers came your way today.
I think the human touch, in many ways, is the greatest healer.
It usually is the small things and the kindest touch that mean the most of all. Sometimes a simple smile can turn a wintry day in someone's soul to sparkling sunshine and shining eyes.
That's exactly what I think. When you can make somebody's day they will pass it on. In my work I think when I can just make a change the child will pass it on later on their child and on and on so you affect whole families. That keeps me going.
I have written about this and I totally agree I love the little stuff peoples time a wink and a smile it goes a long way.
katie..hope the play was a huge success.
Judy.....AMEN back at ya!
Caroline...thank you. No new flowers...I have a beautiful bouquet sitting in front of me that my husband gave me a week ago. They are still fresh. But, I was sent a couple of wonderful emails from friends I hadn't corresponded with in a long time. It was like receiving a daisy in the mail.
Dustin. It surely is. Our human touch is so powerful it can be transported through the internet!
Gypsy...Beautifully stated. I couldn't agree more.
Marja. I often think the same.... It can work in a negative way too, can't it? Displaced anger is a scary thing. It can poison an atmosphere so quickly.
Shaz....to be recognized and validated by another is a priceless gift that's for sure.
