Doing hard work, far from home.

I'm home for the holidays. I have more downtime today to read and it feels good. This is what I have just read....a beautifully written piece in the Globe and Mail. I want to share it with you. .........

Hey there, Awareness gal!

Howzya doin'?

Please excuse my absence... been busy with work and my own blog posts...

Just wanted to relay a Merry Christmas! :)

Going to be taking off for Halifax for a few days soon... see the brother and his family...

A good excuse to have some wine, eh? ;)

Hi Barbara. I agree. I was so taken with this man's thoughts and feelings expressed so well in this piece.

Thank you for the kind words. I have also thoroughly enjoy getting to know you through your writing on your blog.

Hey CS...........red wine to gladden your heart :) Ah yes, wine goes with EVERYTHING. Merry Christmas to you.....enjoy your time with your brother.
We're staying put this year. No travelling to visit family. Instead, we have good friends joining our Christmas table/feast.... and many parties are lined up.........for the whole family. Time to have some fun.
Cheers to you.

That article was beautiful and sad. I feel heavy now after reading it. Makes all our problems here seems so small and petty.

Makes me think of John Lennon's 'So this is Christmas'

You nailed that feeling right! I felt exactly the same way....a sense of loneliness picturing him, but also an understanding that one cannot have joy without sorrow, hope without despair.

We are profoundly lucky, and can learn from stories like this that allow us to realize how so many out in the world have little in possessions, yet take a WHOLE minute to say hello.....and recognize their blessings.

Yeah......I read it and was quite moved by it.

Are you at work?
