bloom where you land.....

What is resilience all about? Its about learning how to bloom where you land. New opportunities abound. They arent sitting just over the horizon. They are right there at the end of your nose, on the tip of your tongue, underneath your feet, in the air all around. Sometimes they hide under rocks, but there's always a trail of crumbs to follow.......

Resilience..... such a gift from living taking risks. From falling and getting back up. From recognizing you may have learned a thing or two during the tumbles that just may come in handy with the new pursuit. In fact, it makes me wonder........if every thing we wanted and everything we pursued came to frution, our lives would only be as wide as our untapped imaginations. We open to recognizing that the tree that has fallen across the path is simply a diversion....one that may open us to compassion and becoming more human in the process. I like that the word "human" begins with the same three letters as "humility..."

My bloom looks very different than it used to. Why? Because I hope i've allowed the lessons to fuel my own awareness, which in turn has fed my own beauty.

There's no line on the horizon today....... I'm stepping right into a new adventure. I will try to bloom where I land.

I hope you bloom where you land in your new job Dana. I just wanted to wish you luck but I have probably got here a little too late. I'm looking forward to hearing how everything went.

The trick, as you well know, is to keep your eyes wide open.
Don't always peer out into the horizon for the next opportunity, look closer at the gravel under your feet.
Opportunities are everywhere you look.

As for YOU my friend, you will ALWAYS bloom where you land. you can't help yourself, your spirit is too strong, and your curiosity too great.
A beauty to behold, no doubt.

Gypsy....thanks. It was a good first day. tiring, and good.

Scarletina....am keeping sites close.
as for always blooming? well, sometimes I've know to land with a thud. :) but thank you for the boost! I am a curious bugger.

Molly...the flower photos are the foxgloves blooming in my neighbour's garden. we've had so much rain that they were bent over, landing where they bloomed! They are such interesting flowers....so many pinkish shades and I love the bell shape.

Ah resilence falling and getting back up. I'll tell last week I locked myself out. No keys, no car keys.
People I know in the nabourhoud weren't home but I had my wallet so
I ought lunch and walked to the library and got out a book on risilence. They tried to pinpoint
were it comes from but really couldn't It comes from the most unexpected It is something magic, somthing divine

marja...I think you're right. It is very hard to pinpoint where it comes from. I think it is "encouraged" by our self confidence sometimes and faith.
