at once there were no expectations, but the constant grew and there are now. Great sentiment in this piece.
Very deep wise words
People come and people go in our lives. Some departures are regretted, some welcomed. But our feelings and emotions tend to stay, secreting themselves into little corners of our minds, and jumping out at the wrong moment!
Some we need to lose, to take out, look sternly at them and dump them in the skip (dumpster).
Others, once we understand where they are coming from can turn into friends, or shrivel up of their own accord.
We maybe have to lsoe what we think of as ourselves to find our real selves.
And that can be a huge surprise!

Gilly... I'm up early before the sun and your comment just popped up as I was trying to find the words for my post today.... and you encapsulated much of what I am sitting here thinking about. Thank you dear friend. SO true!!! This is the main reason why I have wanted to attend Greenbelt....why it went from a want to a need... I look forward to many surprises.!
I wish I could have a chance to meet you while in the UK.... next time perhaps?
