our own composition.

A life fully lived is composed of a personal collection of seemingly ordinary moments which when pulled together create your own looping signature. It is the recognition upon reflection of the times when you have been touched by another's fingertips, and when you have reached out to hold the hand of another human being.

A life fully lived is felt in the deep breath of oxygen you inhale when you reach a milestone, accomplish a goal, stretch your capabilities, use your gifts to make this a better place to be. It is felt when the wind has been knocked right out of you as the swing you have been sitting on suddenly breaks and you land flat on your back with a thud.

It is seen in the glory of a new day, and heard in the weeping willow sorrow of heartbreak. It is the fresh effervescent essence of life's lemons after they have been squeezed with all your might. It's stored in the little things...........the twinkle of an eye, the wrinkle of a brow, the stubbed toe, the scraped knee, the salt left from a tear and in the smile of a friend carried in the memory of your soul.

This week's Sunday Scribblings prompt is "compose." For more symphonic pieces, check it out.

that last line got to me. as I'm sure most people have, I have lost a great friend at too young an age and I always still see her smile when I think of her.

Awarness:
--It was a test to see if I could leave a comment. Google was giving me problems, for both you and Spink and for that matter, any blog using google, I could not leave comments. Got that issue resolved.
--I did the same with Spink but now after solving that, in his case, as soon as his site pops up, it is supplanted by some sort of error message suggesting I can't spell. So I cannot yet leave comments on his site.

What a nice take on the prompt! Most of us didn't think of composition as referring to our lives, bu, now that I have read your post, it seems obvious that that is the most important type of composition.

My favorite part. It ties it all together. Lovely prose.

Marja.....good to see you again. It's always good to be gobsmacked every now and then, don't you think?? :) I love that word....it's not used in canada.

Shaz.....am glad you liked it. It was one of those posts that just flew out all on its own.

Katie...thank you....yes, we can!

Anthony...thankyou. will be visiting your site this weekend too. I'm always intrigued by your contributions to the prompts.

Lucy....people who have touched us never really leave us do they?

texas....Hallelujah!

nb tax.......why thank you.

smoochdog....GREAT moniker! welcome and thank you.

cheryl....thank you for the feedback. I tend to write pieces that are on the long side....so I purposefully kept it brief. I'm glad I was able to find the depth of what i wanted to convey in a short piece.

canuckguy.....I saw that you had left testing comments on spinks' as well.......i figured you were having some probs posting....i was kidding with you. good to see you back.

granny...my initial thought was to write something about the composition of beauty. then, I thought about art......and from there the idea of what our lives are composed of popped into my noggin.

lillibeth.....i had a picture of a friend in my mind who has a twinkle which I always smile about when I think of it.

Beautifully said, my dear, as always....! A life well lived...indeed, it is in all the little things and the big things, too, that add up to 'a life'....!
You really have such a gift with words.

A lovely take on the prompt. The life we compose for ourselves out of all the bits. This has a lot of meaning for me. Thanks.

Beautiful. Just goes to show and prove that even the most simply lived life can create a story that spreads out as a deeply intricate tapestry

Fellow Canadian...LOL. Good post! I must admit I haven't been keeping up. I used to check in on your site from time to time but have been too busy to keep up my blog. Anthony De Mello's books made me aware that there were people from the west and within Christianity that were having the same experiences that Eastern Religions have persude.
