ONE world - ONE heart

New Brunswick's finest nectar of the Gods

Aside from being having the friendliest and happiest cities in Canada, New Brunswick, the only officially bilingual province, is known for it's delicious lobster, fiddleheads, blueberries, honey crisp apples and maple syrup. These are bountiful delicasies, which take up space in most fridges and freezers where I live. Well, maybe not the lobster. I mean, who keeps lobster? If it's in season and you happen to have a few hanging around, they get consumed VERY quickly!
eh, bien!
When I read about the One World - One Heart event on Tara's Paris Parfait blog and how she was raffling off a vase and kewpie doll, I followed the link to the host site to find out more. The premise behind the event is to spread the love........... to link hearts.......... to connect with others.

"What IS ONE World-ONE Heart? It is a blog-wide giveaway event. The original idea behind this was to bring bloggers together from around the world who may never ordinarily meet. It closes the gap of the blog community and enables us to interact, discover new and wonderful people, and in the process possibly win a prize or many prizes along the way. Last years event had nearly 100 participants and many connections were made because of it......friendships that are still going strong. How do you become a participant? To be a participant in the event all you have to do is offer up something to giveaway. It can be handmade, which is encouraged but not mandatory. You can offer up more than one item so there is more than one winner if you like. The giveaway item(s) are entirely up to you. Once you have determined what your giveaway will be you will must post pictures of whatever it is in a post on your blog. You will then come to this blog and in the comments leave the link to THAT post!"

So..............I decided to give away some tasty maple syrup to pour on your Sunday morning flapjacks.........to drizzle on a bowl of french vanillia ice cream.........to enjoy. If you happen to have fridge space and would like to have your name included in the giveaway, leave me a comment here. I will draw the name on Valentine's Day and let you know who the winner is.
Bon Chance!
Oh, and by the way? This week's Sunday Scribblings prompt is fridge space! Gotta love the serendipity.........or should I say syrupdipity. For more lip smacking reads, click here and head over to Sunday Scribblings.

I found your blog through your comments on "The Naked Soul." I LOVE the quote in your profile by the way, Jean Vanier left us with some some amazing quotes. Great writing, I hope to be back to explore it some more. But in the mean time...Ooooo -- Pure maple syrup is the BEST! Count me in.

I will have to try and think of a give away too, what a fun idea!

This is a great idea! However, I just moved across country and have most of my stuff in storage. What I would like to do, is go into as many of the blogs as I can and sign in. If my name gets pulled by anyone as a winner, I will donate $100 to AIDS Foundation in memory of my brother. If my name gets selected more than once, I will up the ante an additional $10 every time it gets pulled (greedy I know, but one can dream!!!) If my name is not pulled by anyone, I will still make a $50 donation. This way, everyone is a winner.

I hope to get my name drawn at least once.
