the essence of joy

Beauty, the splendour of truth, is a gracious presence when the imagination contemplates intensely the truth of its own being or the visible world, and the spirit which proceeds out of truth and beauty is the holy spirit of joy. These are realities and these alone give and sustain life.
James Joyce.

I am in awe. Joyce has somehow captured the possibilities of prayer, the essence of life, and the vitality of joy all in one sentence.

Joyce said it. And to think that I think I can write... Well, there is writing, and then there is writing.

How you doin' Dana??

Hi Mike. Good to see you! I'm well thanks. Still plugging away trying to save the world before bedtime.

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking....I read that sentence, feeling daunted by his brilliance.

Hope the job search is moving right along. It's one of the toughest parts of one's journey that's for sure.
